Cable & Wireless announced today it has bought eight business Internet Service Providers in Europe. Today's deals brings the company's spend on European ISPs to $500 million. The ISPs acquired today are Austria's Xpoint; online internet in Belgium; ISDnet in France; Italian Unidata and DSLogic-DSNet; grupo Intercom in Spain; and agri.ch and Petrel Communications, both in Switzerland.
