Swisscom Mobile

The partnership between Swisscom Mobile and the British Vodafone Group, announced on 8 November 2000, has worked out perfectly. As planned, on 30 March 2001 Vodafone took a 25% stake in Swisscom Mobile Ltd. The collaboration with Vodafone, the European market leader in mobile communications, paves the way for Swisscom Mobile to enter the world of UMTS technology and assures access to the pan-European market of third-generation mobile communications.
