fixed-line SMS

Swisscom is the first telecom provider in Switzerland to offer fixed-line SMS. From 1st August 2001 Swisscom customers will be able to send and receive SMS messages via fixed-line telephones and use the ETV®Online function to identify unknown callers. All you need in order to use this service is an ISDN line (new MultiLINEISDN) and an SMS-compatible ISDN telephone. During the introductory phase from 1 August to 30 September 2001, Swisscom will be offering its customers free fixed-line SMS and ETV® Online services.
